  1. Can you make switch covers?
  2. Is this the aircraft we're discussing? http://www.commonwealthaircraft.com/new-arrivals/2000-mooney-m20r-ovation.html
  3. The OP said, "The hic is that the airplane is a repossess and did not fly for the last 3 years. The seller don't want to pay to have it in a flying condition." Sounds like an as-is, where-is kind of deal.
  4. It could be an innocent mistake. The poster said he was selling it for someone else.
  5. It's a 1981 not a 1985 as claimed.
  6. Ignorant? You built an ADS-B receiver from a Raspberry Pi. I'd hardly call that ignorant. We are all here on MS to answer each other's questions.
  7. While you have your iPad connected to your Stratux, open the Safari browser (on your iPad) and enter the address that Yetti provided.
  8. Maybe @Cody Stallings could give us some details. Was this break discovered by ECI?
  9. The RainX brand appears to be used on a variety of products now. It looks like the original is a polysiloxane. The products for non-glass surfaces may be something else.
  10. I don't know exactly what's in RainX but most water repellents just form a waxy coating. I wouldn't expect RainX to behave any differently than any other wax you might apply to your airframe..
  11. I don't think that's true. Can you point to a regulation or an AC with that guidance?
  12. I took the Hartzell deal. I'm pretty sure it was 2007 when I had the work done. The hub was half price. I even had Hartzell do the overhaul at their factory facility in Piqua. My situation was the same as @Htwjr. I had no qualified shop on the field so I had to take a day off work and fly to the nearest prop shop every 100hrs. There also wasn't anyone in the area offering an ECI for $125. Between the ECI fee, fuel cost, and my time it was easily over $500 each time.
  13. How long will the WD40 remain on the wing during normal flight conditions? Why do you believe that it will have an impact on ice accumulation in flight? This has not been objectively tested in a flight environment. I'm not trying to be difficult. There is just no evidence that this will have any meaningful impact. Believing that you have some sort of protection against icing is far more dangerous than knowing you do not.
  14. Ice accumulation on airframes occurs in a wide variety of conditions that can't easily be simulated in a freezer. It would be dangerous to assume that WD40 will give you useful protection against icing.
  15. Any idea what the cost will be?
  16. I'm going to assume that this is a serious question. OCD = Obsessive Compulsive Disorder as opposed to a type of engineering.
  17. The OP was asking about fuel pressure not fuel flow.
  18. That part number is only for S/N 24-0378 to 24-1417 which is much earlier than a 1989. There are several different transducer part numbers listed in the parts catalog. The correct one depends on your aircraft S/N. You haven't shared your tail number or S/N so it makes it difficult to be sure which one you need.
  19. I live very near the OSU airport as well. I considered putting a deposit on one of the new hangars but it came down to price. At Bolton hangars rent for $180 or $200 per month depending on the row. The new hangars at OSU will rent for $325. In the end I just couldn't justify the additional expense. Let me know if you guys plan a get-together.
  20. I guess neither of you were there long enough to learn how to spell it...
  21. Just make sure you get the Pulse Width Modulator and not the Q-36 Explosive Space Modulator.
  22. You mean something like this? http://www.trade-a-plane.com/search?category_level1=Single+Engine+Piston&make=MOONEY&model=M22+MUSTANG&listing_id=1742444&s-type=aircraft
  23. Those propeller tips look bent. You might want to find out what happened and whether the engine has been inspected.
  24. Without an A&P to sign off that belt replacement it would not be a legal repair.
