Since my old thread turned into a Garmin bashing I thought I'd start a new thread to show off the panel. still working the bugs out but i should be flying this weekend. I just need to get the eight ball throttle control and the fuzzy dice and i am all set.

We flew from Pell City, Alabama to Fargo ND today. Dropped one kiddo off at Granna's in Huntsville and Lunch with the other in Iowa and in Fargo to watch the other wrestle in a national tourney. The only debate is what to do with our free day - Mt. Rushmore, MSP??? What other machine can change your life like that? The Mt. Rushmore thing is interesting, but because of the altitude restrictions you really don't get the best view. If you have never seen it, I would land at KRAP and drive up for the better view. If looking for other things to do, there would be: a weekend at Mackinac Island, Niagara Falls, New England in the fall for the leaves, Maine for some lobster, the Bahamas for just about the most beautiful place on the earth, Taos for the art crawl in September, Denver for the mountains, Kalispell for the continental divide and maybe some trout fishing, Missoula for a little fishing on the Clark's Fork. I guess that's about all I can think of for now.

Craig, Can you create a "Political Discussion" forum? You've created a great forum for discussion of M o o n e y A i r p l a n e s but I'm afraid quite a few people have lost sight of this fact. I'm really tired of all this bullshit political nastiness and backbiting. If people really feel that this is the right place for political discussion then let them spew their garbage in their own little place in the corner - where it belongs - so the rest of us don't have to waste our time picking through discussion threads trying to find the PERTINENT POSTS. And one quick question for all you people that can't seem to let politics go on Mooneyspace: How many of you are politically active in your community and local, state and federal campaigns? If you're not ACTIVELY trying to change things then it seems you just want to bitch as much as possible. If that's the case, please keep your bitching to yourself. I have my doubts there is any real downside to extending the time limit if you are not flying, but the gurus say that exposure to the atmosphere will degrade the additives whether it is flying or not.
