yvesg Posted August 27, 2013 Report Posted August 27, 2013 Hi folks, I am troubleshooting my PC system. Checked for leaks etc. My boots are in pretty good shape, saw from a sticker on them that they were overhauled or replaced 5 years ago. I have a question about the roll trim valve (from inside the yoke): When the valve is centered, should it allow vacuum to the side ports at all or should the vacuum passage completely cut off? My valve does allow some through and not sure if it should. Yves 1 Quote
N601RX Posted August 27, 2013 Report Posted August 27, 2013 When in the center, it should have flow to both ports. As you rotate it in one direction, it should reduce the flow to one port and increase the flow to the other port. Quote
yvesg Posted August 27, 2013 Author Report Posted August 27, 2013 Thanks for the reply. My valve seems to work like it should then. Are the two Hex screws used for adjustment? Yves Quote
Hank Posted August 27, 2013 Report Posted August 27, 2013 Yves, I posted all of the Brittain documents that I have in the "Downloads" section above. They should include troubleshooting ideas, operational instructions and contact info for Brittain in Tulsa. They are great to work with over the phone. Quote
yvesg Posted August 28, 2013 Author Report Posted August 28, 2013 Thanks Hawk, I already read all this stuff. I did not see detail about the roll trim valve and the hex screws action. I sent an email to Brittain and still awaiting their answer. Yves Quote
