Does anybody have a chart showing percent of power for the TSIO-550-G engines in the Acclaims?  There is no percent power chart in either the POH or the engine manual that came with the aircraft.  Oddly, though, the Emergency Procedures advise to reduce power to "75%" or less in the event of engine-driven fuel pump failure, there is no way to determine what 75% is from the POH.

I spoke to Continental requesting a percent power chart.  Their answer was to consult their manual IO-18, which I could purchase for $35 and which may (or may not) have the information I requested.  It would not be appropriate to discuss my thoughts on that suggestion.

Is there a chart that shows horsepower?  Not by percent, but by actual hp numbers?  I can't believe there would be no performance charts at all...

I am just taking a stab in the dark here, but doesn't the aircraft have a glass cockpit?  And if so, isn't there a display for the engine gauges (temps, etc.)?  And if so, is it possible there is a function to display percent horsepower?  There is in the JPI higher end displays.

Sure would be nice to have those charts....

Also would be nice in Mooney would use some of its free time to get the G1000 software up to the latest rev....its been 2 years...

Still the best damn piston single in the world though :-)

 Scott, very cool.  Thanks.

Frank Crawford at Mooney is very helpful.  I asked him, and he talked to the test pilots.  They say that since they don't publish hp charts since (starting with?) the Bravo M20M.  As for the emergency procedure reference to 75% power, Frank said that is a mistake that will be removed in the next revision.  (Wonder if I get a ball cap for noticing an error?)

There is a reference in the Cruise Climb checklist that says Mixture........FULL RICH (TIT 1350F - 1450F) with a note that leaning maybe required under some atmospheric condtions. I am thinking that is why that white range is in there from about 1400-1450 I think. Also the Vx and Vy climb checklist want BOOST PUMP ON with TIT greater than 1450, so another reason

Interesting enough is that the Bravo doesn't have it

Any idea what kind of atmospheric conditions would require leaning in a turbo airplane at full throttle?

FWIW, the older Acclaim software didn't have it, either. That's why I thought it was a mistake that it ended up in the newer software. Weird. I quit trying to figure this stuff out, I just fly it like the book says to fly it.
