AlanA Posted March 23, 2013 Report Posted March 23, 2013 When I test my annunciator panel at run up (1900 rpms) everything is normal, however if I test it in cruise (2500 rpms) it pops the Annunciator circuit breaker. Has anyone else experienced this? Why do you think this happens? Quote
bumper Posted March 23, 2013 Report Posted March 23, 2013 Electrical gremlin. But it's most likely an intermittent short caused by abrasion with a metal edge wearing through the wiring. Remove glareshield and inspect wiring carefully. You might get lucky and find it easily visually. If not, hold the test switch in and start pushing an pulling on stuff to see if you can replicate the problem. Problem most likely will be at or near the annunciator panel, but it could be in the wiring run anywhere between the panel and down to the breaker. bumper Quote
N201MKTurbo Posted March 24, 2013 Report Posted March 24, 2013 If it only does it when you test, it has to be in the panel. Someone may have installed the wrong bulbs, or the breaker may be weak. Light bulbs have a huge inrush current. Quote
