MikeOH Posted July 5 Report Posted July 5 I can't seem to find this feature...do I need the highest cost plan?
KLRDMD Posted July 5 Author Report Posted July 5 I do not have the highest level plan, so no. Under "Track Logs" on the left.
exM20K Posted July 5 Report Posted July 5 Web browser version, not iPad app not even close to FlySto, but maybe I’m saving my track logs wrong. -dan 1
KLRDMD Posted July 5 Author Report Posted July 5 FlySto has much greater data but ForeFlight gives you an overall score.

FlySto supposedly scores approaches, but with only a couple hours playing with it, I can’t figure out how to do it. Anyway, I’m less interested in a “score” using a rubric that may not apply to my plane or field (310 hp Acclaim landing at a sub 2500’ field). I do care about a nice, smooth, one-directional flare and touchdown distance from the threshold. T/O numbers are of some interest, too. -dan
Rick Junkin Posted July 17 Report Posted July 17 I think this is a partial implementation of Cloud Ahoy features into Foreflight. If I recall correctly Cloud Ahoy was acquired by Foreflight. The integration between the two is pretty seamless. Cloud Ahoy provides an impressive array of data extracted from the log files and presents them in a very user-friendly way that is excellent for individual or student debrief. It even has a "virtual CFI" function that grades your performance according to limit parameters you can modify. The Foreflight presentation looks like a subset of that function.

FlySto has some pretty extensive and well done features, but they aren't all obvious. It feels as if some are a bit hidden. Eg it extracts and allows you to review approaches. One of the better pieces of software I've seen in a while. Also good performance over the web. Their front-end coding is slick.
jamesm Posted July 22 Report Posted July 22 What level of subscription is Foreflight grading available? to get Cloud Ahoy import my flight data, I go to track logs tab, select the flight I want to upload then select the [^] icon (box with up arrow) then select Open in KML import into Cloud Ahoy. I have the ForeFlight Essential USA subscription. level I don't see or I don't have something configured correctly. TIA, James
