McMooney Posted April 1 Report Posted April 1 Just my luck, while flying IFR from memphis to houston, the main selection knob/button in my GNS disassembled itself and fell out of the radio while in a solid cloud layer. it also seems to have caused the radio to reset as the comm was on a incorrect channel any way, at some point the comm channel changed, i couldn't hear atc. pink line kept working after 20 mins of silence i finally try to call atc, nothing, look down wrong frequency and no knob to change it back. no response on second radio. finally looked up center frequency for some airport i was flying over, get atc and IMMEDIATELY get a "call this number" sigh, cry, cry, cry. ended up landing in shreveport to wait for vfr weather 1 Quote
