Florian Guthardt Posted December 22, 2023 Report Posted December 22, 2023 We currently are waiting for a BK AeroCruze kit. There are some modifications needed. To identify possible differences between M20F and M20G ( most probably they are identical but without picture hard to tell) we would need a picture of the area below the baggage compartment looking aft with belly skin removed. The area around the elevator control tube cutout ( RHD side of fuselage ) is interesting - I have added a pic of our 1967 F. Can anyone help with a picture in same / similar angle of a M20G? Thanks in advance, Florian Quote
Utah20Gflyer Posted December 22, 2023 Report Posted December 22, 2023 I may be able to provide one next week. I’ll see what I can do. Quote
cliffy Posted December 23, 2023 Report Posted December 23, 2023 Are you planning on pulling out the green Brittain A/P tubing? :-) :-) Please show us pictures of the complete install if you can Many of us would be very interested in seeing the process 1 Quote
Florian Guthardt Posted December 24, 2023 Author Report Posted December 24, 2023 Let’s see when the parts finally arrive - actually we might re-use the green and red tubing for wire routings - let’s see. We plan to document the install step by step to encourage others to do this ! Looking at the installa Instructions the design is pretty simple and straightforward! Quote

It’s been hard to motivate myself to go take out 50 screws on my back in the snow. 1 Quote

As soon as I get a dry day above freezing where I’m at the airport I’ll get those pics. Quote

Jblanton Posted January 16, 2024 Report Posted January 16, 2024 I looked at my plane with a mirror and flashlight through the flap actuator hole with the flaps down. Everything is the same as your picture except I don't have the three Fastners upper right in the pic. 1968 M20G S/N 680048 with vacuum step. I know planes with a fixed step are different in that area. Jeff Quote

Jeff Hi Jeff, Thank you so much - that’s what I was expecting- a picture would still be awesome as I promised to send one to Duncan/BK - they need to verify the G model is identical to the F model before doing the STC revision for the Aerocruze Autopilot. Hopefully this will ship soon so we have an alternative there! All the best, Florian Quote
