Hi new to the list (first post).

I am putting a M20C back together into airworthy status.  I can see the light at the end of the tunnel....  ...But, I checked the micro switch for the stall warning horn, and it is not making continuity when moved to the closed position.  Does anybody know where I can obtain a reasonable replacement???

If I can get the switch, could be ready to fly by Friday!  Woo-Hoo! :)

Call your nearest Mooney Service Center. If it were me, I would just disassemble the switch. It's a pretty simple mechanism and my thought is that it could be repaired faster and easier than replaced...

I have three of these switches.  I rebuilt a 1968 M20F and have the original switch and two others as replacements which I purchased.  Later in the project I put the landing lightts in the wings which necessitated moving the stall warning switch and using a newer style.  Thus I have these switches I am not using.  Please give me a call at (617) 877-0025 or e-mail me at johnabreda@yahoo.com if you are interested.

Before you buy new try repair with contact cleaner.  Remove assembly, attach ohm meter.  Removal is easier if you have small hands.  At bench, work contact cleaner, SX50, etc into microswitch through any available cracks.  Cycle switch a lot.

I had a switch hang up on my Sundowner.  Turned out to be dust jamming the plunger on the switch itself.  Took it out, cleaned it up with compressed air and alcohol and voila.. Like new.  Worked for 6 years and it's still working.
