NewMoon Posted October 26, 2023 Report Posted October 26, 2023 As some of you have read, I am having an unscheduled maintenance event that will down my Acclaim for 60 days or so. We are starting a business with the daughter and son-in-law. A 10.5 hr drive from our home. I am reaching out to see if anyone may be willing to lease time in their Mooney for a short period of time. This Acclaim is my 4th Mooney, I have ~3500TT so experience is not an issue. Thought I would throw it out there. Quote
icurnmedic Posted October 26, 2023 Report Posted October 26, 2023 I guess the first thing I would suggest is Location, from and where to , unless I missed it. Good Luck. 1 Quote

PT20J Posted October 26, 2023 Report Posted October 26, 2023 I'm at the opposite corner or the country, so not a candidate, but I am curious what the insurance might cost for a 60-90 day dry lease arrangement. @Parker_Woodruff Quote

He could likely add it to his policy pro-rata with the loss payee being the owner. Then delete pro-rata when the lease was over. Or the owner could get a dry lease on his policy. 1 Quote
OR75 Posted October 27, 2023 Report Posted October 27, 2023 unless the renter pays only for fuel, does not that change the maintenance requirements ? maybe simply 100h inspection instead of annual Quote
1980Mooney Posted October 27, 2023 Report Posted October 27, 2023 I see some Cirrus and Bonanza's listed online available for lease but no Mooney's. Quote
ZuluZulu Posted October 28, 2023 Report Posted October 28, 2023 I would suggest calling Premier at Fort Lauderdale, they might be able to advise or line something like this up. Quote
gcb Posted October 28, 2023 Report Posted October 28, 2023 Just curious, where in SC? I am in SC, and looking for late model Mooney (and a hanger and a partner would be nice, just so it flies enough). [+1000hrs, 750 cplx, insr ] Quote
