Chrome rocker covers?

Hello MS. 

I do like the look of chrome rocker covers, but I believe they caused issues. I guess separation of the chrome.

What other ideas are out there? I may as well start; Lycoming grey paint.

If you don't do them right. Best to get the official Lycoming ones. Lycoming actually sells them and they won't chip out

When I bought my J it had chrome rocker covers. Not sure how they came to be. It was a factory reman engine. I think they came from the factory that way. The chrome is as perfect as it was in 2003 when I bought it.

Yes, the factory does have them. I had to look but here is where I bought mine.
