67 M20F manual landing gear wiring diagram position indicator lights

Recommended Posts

Michael,

You might want to describe your technical challenge… what problem is the mechanic trying to fix…?

If you have the mechanical gear…

There isn’t much to the wiring diagram…

There is a switch up inside the down lock block under the instrument panel…

When the switch is activated, it turns the green light on…

When not activated, the other light is on…

If your mechanic is really young…. He may not recognize the push to test lights, with the twist iris dimmer…

The POH has a basic wiring diagram… not sure if it is so detailed to have these lights included….

The Maintenance manual would be the next step…

Check the download section around here… there are plenty of POHs, MMs, and parts manuals that apply to your plane…. The C, D, E, and F will share the same manuals…

PP thoughts only, not a mechanic…

Best regards,

Thanks.  The issue is that my gear up and gear down indicator lights are not working on my panel.

Have your mechanic find the Service manual…

It will look a lot like this one…

You can see the gear lights in the top left corner…

A very simple circuit….

Should be easy to troubleshoot…

There should be Service manuals in the download area… if needed…

Looks like the two lights get their power from the switch…

Each light has their own ground…

Check to see if the gear up alarm goes off as well…

If power isn’t getting to the lights… it might not be getting to the gear warning either….

PP guesses only…

Best regards,
