KNorton Posted June 6, 2022 Report Posted June 6, 2022 Can anyone recommend where to get my nose truss repaired? It was damaged by a local shop but they said that Lasar is saying it will be 4 months and I'm hoping to get back into the air sooner than that. Thanks for any suggestions.
carusoam Posted June 6, 2022 Report Posted June 6, 2022 Lasar has been the go to place for that… For a temporary replacement… we have Sanford aka Alan… For a welding solution…. Our favorite exhaust welders may be helpful…(?) PP guesses only… Best regards, -a-
jetdriven Posted June 7, 2022 Report Posted June 7, 2022 I had specialized aero repair my truss but it’s expensive. Around 1200$. But F 4 months. 1
KSMooniac Posted June 7, 2022 Report Posted June 7, 2022 LASAR is moving to OR and that might be impacting their ability to do this work. Sent from my LM-V405 using Tapatalk

KNorton Posted June 8, 2022 Author Report Posted June 8, 2022 (edited) Thanks everyone, I’m following up on these leads. I’d prefer to go with LASAR but being down for four months or more is too long! Edited June 9, 2022 by KNorton Typo

Might try calling there to see if the 4 months was real?
jetdriven Posted June 9, 2022 Report Posted June 9, 2022 I called back in January and they were like send it in and we will redo it and send it back but it’s going to be a few months, there were no cores and no stock to build up to exchange with.
