Seat belt extenders

I fly a 64 M20E and will finally be doing my night rating. The Instructor I will have is a bit of a big boy. I know I am going to need a seat belt extender. Where do I get one?

Amazon, there are apparently two different ones labeled by different airlines. I’m a fat bastid myself and there is plenty of extra belt in my J. I got one for my 140, and it was long enough to replace the whole belt, so I did.

I actually just recently ordered a seat belt extension off Amazon which is supposed to arrive today.  If it fits I'll post the details.

Not to be rude, but if you need a belt extension for him, think of what he’s doing to your seat structure and floor.

The buckles are all different.  You need to know what make and style buckle you have.  This is likely not an Amazon purchase.

I am not really sure if the one I ordered will work but it was only 18 dollars and the return policy is pretty easy with Amazon.  It looks right based on the pics but who knows....

You’d think an extension belt would be part of his flight bag if he goes flying with different people and has this problem.

I got the seat belt extender yesterday so this morning I stopped by the airport to see if it works.  Good news. Perfect fit.  For 18 bucks seems like something useful to have available.

Thanks a lot…. Now Amazon is sending me emails recommending seat belt extenders!

I wouldn’t be surprised if @Marauder gets emails like this all the time! @Marauder, do you have to double up on the extenders for your dates? Is that even possible?
