Shadrach Posted December 21, 2011 Report Posted December 21, 2011 Seriously? Are they just bored? Unless I'm reading it wrong, this seems as though it really changes nothing... cdn1.atp.com/ADs/pdf/112604.pdf http://federalregister.gov/a/2011-32467 Quote
Shadrach Posted December 21, 2011 Author Report Posted December 21, 2011 I believe that all models were subject to inspection, some by AD and others by MSB in the MX manual. The way I read this, it just elevates the aircraft with the inspection covered in the MX manual to AD. So yes the AD cover additional models. Prior to that, those models were covered by a MSB outlined in there mx manual. While the SB is optional, I doubt that many are out of compliance. Quote
HopePilot Posted December 22, 2011 Report Posted December 22, 2011 So do you have to have it done by January 25th? Quote
Shadrach Posted December 22, 2011 Author Report Posted December 22, 2011 I don't personally as I complied with AD at annual and I'm still with in the inspection window of the AD. I suspect that this will affect almost no one, other than in terms of paper work for folks that have had their lines inspected, but not documented in such a way as to comply. Inspecting the lines is part of an annual inspection. The way the lines are secured has been mandated by AD and SB for so long, that is seems unlikely that there are many planes out there that are not in physical compliance if not inspection compliance. HopePilot Posted December 22, 2011 Report Posted December 22, 2011 Right, so I had 2008-14-07 done at annual, so I'm okay. Quote
