p51p28 Posted September 20, 2021 Author Report Posted September 20, 2021 (edited) Just wanted to give props to @81X for flying his awesome bird over for a fitting! We had a very nice visit and discussion. Sitting in the Mooney was definitely a different experience. The cockpit felt more compact as everything is "closer" to you. I fit in it okay but I think over an extended period of time, it may prove to be problematic for me. Characterizing a Mooney as having a sports car feel is very accurate. It was very nice gesture for 81X to come over and let me judge for myself. Beautiful airplanes. I can fully understand why people love them. Edited September 20, 2021 by p51p28

You are most welcome, @p51p28, it was great meeting you as well! We are all similar in our enjoyment of aviation, even if the brand doesn’t fit the mission, person or preferences. I have yet to meet a pilot I didn’t like, maybe we are the highest form of life. I’m even friends with a Baron guy and enjoy flying it from time to time, as much as it pains me to admit that!
carusoam Posted September 21, 2021 Report Posted September 21, 2021 MS is full up with wonderful people… Go MSers! Best regards, -a-

I was specifically referring to the cockpit dimensions, which are identical. @p51p28sorry if the Moonship isn't your cup of tea, your loss. I love mine. You more wear it than sit in it, and I'm really, really good with that.
