edmg_lal Posted July 23, 2020 Report Posted July 23, 2020 Hi all, Our Mooney has developed an issue since we got the audio input/output extended from the original two (front seats only) to four places (for passengers in the back). Now, whenever we are receiving, the intercom within the cockpit is forced into silence. That is, I cannot talk to my passengers through the headset. It is very annoying when the FIS is busy, because it essentially means that I cannot communicate within the cockpit. We have Bendix KMA 24 audio panel. Is it something that I can do myself to fix it or do I need a technician to look at? Cheers. Quote
Jerry 5TJ Posted July 23, 2020 Report Posted July 23, 2020 The King KMA24 is an audio switching panel with a marker beacon receiver. It doesn’t have a 4 place intercom capability. Does your plane have an intercom Installed? Quote

But the plane must have an intercom, even with jacks for pilot and co-pilot. Quote
