M00N37 Posted September 13, 2019 Report Posted September 13, 2019 Another day, another broken part. This is a filler part of dome assembly P/N 835-20 that attached to Hartzell prop. Anybody knows what P/N is for this piece that fills a gap in the spinner dome ? Quote
carusoam Posted September 13, 2019 Report Posted September 13, 2019 Hangar fairies have a dumping ground for the remains... Technically the part may be needed for AW... Hartzell probably sells them by the dozens... interested in some used ones? We know a guy or three... in the business... Best regards, -a- Quote

N201MKTurbo Posted September 13, 2019 Report Posted September 13, 2019 You can get new ones. I would just make a new one, there is $10 worth of parts and an hour of labor. Quote

RLCarter Posted September 13, 2019 Report Posted September 13, 2019 I had one that was cracked, gave it to a sheet metal guy on the field and whipped it out in short time, fits better than the original 1 Quote

M00N37 Posted September 13, 2019 Author Report Posted September 13, 2019 After digging around online, looks like mine is A-2480. Is B-2480 exactly the same as A-2480 ? Quote

RLCarter Posted September 13, 2019 Report Posted September 13, 2019 He had no choice, I grabbed the ticket...lol. It took him maybe 20 minutes at the most, he flattened my old one for a template and then formed the new one over his thigh, seems pretty simple (curve maybe not) to make but I didn't have all sheet metal tooling that I have now, and no way I could do it in 20 minutes.
