User sort by region?

First and foremost thanks for a wonderful Website/Forum. This is an excellent source for Mooney flying, experiences and data.

I was just curious if it is currently possible to sort users by region or by say a radius from an airport location and if not could it be an easily added feature?

I think it might be helpful if Mooney flyers could get a localized search of other MooneySpace users to notify them of little know local events/flyins and get a little more positive exposure of our brand.

This is possible, but currently I don't have that kind of accurate data on the users.  So step 1 would be to somehow force everyone to select a city/state/country the next time they login, etc.
