MooneyF Posted May 15, 2018 Report Posted May 15, 2018 (edited) Hello! I was taxing a Mooney 1970 F with a friend and I realized how hard was to move the yoke L/R and up and down compared to a Cherokee 140. Is this normal? Does anyone have any feedback about this and/or went through the same experience? Thanks! Edited May 15, 2018 by MooneyF Quote

gsxrpilot Posted May 15, 2018 Report Posted May 15, 2018 It will still never be as floppy as a Cherokee though. 1 Quote
Yetti Posted May 15, 2018 Report Posted May 15, 2018 Even in the air it is two fingers a finger pad and slight thumb pressure. Quote

Guest Posted May 15, 2018 Report Posted May 15, 2018 Lubricate the control column shafts with some Tri Flow as a first step. Generally cables and pulleys will have less system drag than push rods in a Mooney, especially with trim assist bungees and a vacuum autopilot. Clarence Quote
