Txbyker
I have had mine on for a year and a half. Nickel edges, no problems. Russ
jetdriven
The Beechcraft 1900D I used to fly had composite props with nickel leading edges. They literally had 5000 hours on them and they showed virtually no wear.

Tim Jodice
How is the propeller? Are there any new things you have noticed in the past year?
FoxMike
I am still thrilled with the MT. Take off thrust is better and climb is better down at 85KTS. Climb advantage goes away as airspeed increases. During over standard conditions I normally climb around 110KTS to keep oil temps down. Cruise speed is no greater but much smoother and quieter. Disadvantages are: ground handling more difficult when being towed. Some FBOs have large universal tow bars that are wide and can hit the trailing edge of the prop blade. So far putting the fear of God into the lineman had been effective. I also warn of bending the nose wheel truss. I also ask when taxing in if I can park somewhere where I will not be towed. The other disadvantage is that it takes a little longer to clean the bugs of the airplane, owning to the extra blade. 2
slowflyin
FoxMike, I found a thread or two with comments about poor spinner cowl fit/alignment. Mainly the spinner being to small. The pic you posted seems to show a nice fit but it's a little tough to see. Thoughts?
carusoam
SlowF, You might be remembering the TopProp spinner challenge... about a 1/4” step from spinner to cowl... Kind of annoying each time it gets looked at... Best regards, -a-
