Yetti Posted September 12, 2018 Report Posted September 12, 2018 Rogers Pass is 5 miles to the NW. It looks like if you were following the road it would be easy to miss the slight jig in the road. This view is looking reverse to the flight path. He was heading to Rogers Pass. 1 Quote
kortopates Posted September 12, 2018 Report Posted September 12, 2018 The key thing IMO is its pretty much right in front of crest of the divide with the highest peak being Mt Sir Donald at 10774' almost right in front of them. If there were strong winds due to the system moving in a low flying aircraft could be subjected to severe turbulence and very strong up & down drafts - just like the Fossett crash. 1 Quote
Ned Gravel Posted September 14, 2018 Report Posted September 14, 2018 We just got word from COPA that they found the aircraft and the folks that were in it. So young. https://copanational.org/en/2018/09/13/wreckage-of-lost-mooney-found/ Quote
