$35?????? Jesus dude. I'll hit you up in 5 years--I paid $150 per hose from some hose guy in Denver. I was told the fittings alone were $30 each.

I would guess that you'll need an FAA AMOC to get hose testing and reused approved.  The AD specifically states replace hoses each 5 years.

It surrrrrre does. GEE BEE, is that what you were suggesting? I took it as new hoses...

So I am owner-assisting my first annual with my A&P and it's RayJay hose replacement time. HOLY SHIT. I need dwarf hands. How does anyway reach any of these hoses???? It took me 3 hours to replace one fuel hose today. 3 hours. One hose. 1000 curse words. Two bloody hands.   

Well now you can understand and appreciate
good mechanics.

So true...such a valuable lesson. I'm pretty grateful to have had the opportunity to owner assist...I learned so freakin' much!
