mooneyflyfast Posted October 23, 2016 Report Share Posted October 23, 2016 I took advantage of Garmin's recent package deal on a GTN 625 and GTX 345(r) for $9,960 . This is about $5,000 less than regular list price on them separately. The 625 does not have comm. or vor/ILS but I have a good comm. (sl 40) and my KNS 80 is a great vor/ils /rnav. I would probably have gone for the 650 but Garmin did not have a special price on them and also, I feel there are advantages to having comm and vor/ILS radios separate from the GPS. Traffic, weather, and AHRS display on my Area 795 which is yoke mounted. I have a couple of glitches to work out but so far I am pleased. The traffic seems to be spot on. Photos are before / after. Wished they would include the 635 with the proper increase in price. Please take off the factory screen protector on the sl40 :)...looks like the VHS decks some people have with the feature stickers still on the front.
