Raptor05121 Posted December 2, 2016 Report Posted December 2, 2016 How does the fuel flow work? Is it a fuel-injected thing only? Quote
carusoam Posted December 2, 2016 Report Posted December 2, 2016 Alex, FF uses a spinning wheel in the fuel line. A magnet in the wheel tells the system what rpm is being achieved... the device is often mounted in front of the firewall in specific locations with straight lines in and out of the sensor. These are used on carbed Mooney engines, but I am not sure how it accounts for the fuel float's activity. It may be insignificant overall. Best thing to do would be check with the manufacturer of the equipment to make sure it is usable with your plane. An STC may be the starting point... FF and totalizer really helps with avoiding running out of gas.... PP ideas, not a mechanic... Best regards, -a- Quote
egarcia77035 Posted September 20, 2018 Report Posted September 20, 2018 Would you happen to still have the thermasistor AN5546-1 you pulled 2 yrs ago? Quote
