zerobearing2 Posted December 3, 2010 Report Posted December 3, 2010 Hi all- I had my trim freeze up on me recently. We tracked it down to the jack screw in the tail. It had protective cloth covering around it; was badly deteriorated so we removed it. Don't think anyone has lubed this in a great while. Cleaned and lubed everything real well and now the trim works better than when I first bought the plane. However, I have no idea where to find the protective cover that was around the jack screw and hinge? Looked like some mesh cloth tub that slid over the screw and hidge and then held in-place with 4 little tiny screws. Anyone know where/what it is made of or how I might fashion another one to keep debris from getting into the jack screw? Can't seem to find anything that references this cover/boot anywhere... 1 Quote

zerobearing2 Posted December 6, 2010 Author Report Posted December 6, 2010 N9937c - thanks for the info/part# -- called lone star, not in stock, and mooney shutdown -- not making parts, so I guess I'll have to fashion something up. Quote
