Garmin 430 - King KI-209 CDI

Looking through the installation manual for the 430 it shows this match up for an install does anyone have one wired up in real life?  If so how's it working out.

I am considering replacing my King KNS 80  with a 430w.  One avionics shop believes I can use the KI 206 as an indicator with the 430.  Another shop does not agree.  Any input as to using the KI206?  Using it is a 1.5 AMU savings.

Looking at the 400 series installation manual (part number 190-00140-02 revision M) it indicates that the 206 is compatible.   I bit the bullet and got the MD200-306 - 1.1 amu  

I've purchased and now await the delivery of my Panel upgrade stage 1 which should begin in a week.  I'll be posting pictures as things progress.
