Well journey along in the same CB spirit as how to save $5 by building your own control ball link.  

as I show you how to turn them into rich Corinthian Leather more fitting of your 40 year old pride and joy.

In this example we are going to reuse the foam as Mooney did a great job of gluing things together.  The first step it to take your seam cutter and take all the stitches out. This will leave you with this

Now you have some really nice patterns.  So measure and cut out some new leather.

Here the seams have been run up the leather and the top and side parts cut out.

The rear of the front seats has a cut out for the ash trays.  The commercial way for new leather is to glue the new leather in.  That would work but is messy and takes some skill.   So instead we just pop rivet in a patch.   Drill some holes and now you can use the plastic holder thingys.  The ash tray is just laying there for illustrative purpose only.
