Oldguy Posted October 9, 2015 Report Posted October 9, 2015 The baggage door support arm (p/n 350154-901) decided to give up the ghost last week. If anyone has one for sale, please let me know. My a/p has been looking with no joy, so I thought I would see what is available here. Thanks, John Quote
kortopates Posted October 9, 2015 Report Posted October 9, 2015 Check with Lasar, they sell repaired ones with exchange. Quote
Oldguy Posted October 9, 2015 Author Report Posted October 9, 2015 Paul, They were my first call. Best he could do was to tell me to keep checking back if I didn't have any luck. Quote
Hank Posted October 9, 2015 Report Posted October 9, 2015 There's a thread here somewhere, with pictures, of an owner-produced replacement arm. "Search" is your friend. Good luck! Sometimes it can be frustrating . . . Quote
Wakeup Posted October 10, 2015 Report Posted October 10, 2015 I purchased one for my B from Don Maxwell. He may one. Good luck. Troy Quote
N201MKTurbo Posted October 10, 2015 Report Posted October 10, 2015 What's wrong with it? A little welding and paint will fix most problems.... 1 Quote
Johnnybgoode Posted October 10, 2015 Report Posted October 10, 2015 What's wrong with it? A little welding and paint will fix most problems.... Fixed mine that way a couple weeks ago - grind it, weld it, grind it smooth, prime and paint, reinstall. Couple hours and back up and running. Hardest part was reinstalling it on my door. 1 Quote
Oldguy Posted October 10, 2015 Author Report Posted October 10, 2015 Johnnybgoode and N201MKTurbo: That's looking like the best option right now. No used ones to be found, and new one prices out at a little over 0.5 AMU! Since I'm not a welder, I'll have to find someone who can work on the small piece that broke off right at the top where it attaches to the baggage door. Grinding and painting I can do. And you are absolutely right about the R&R being the hardest part. Five minutes to remove the cotter keys and an hour to remove everything so I could get to them. John Quote
Alan Fox Posted October 11, 2015 Report Posted October 11, 2015 I have one from an E if that will work.. Quote
Oldguy Posted October 14, 2015 Author Report Posted October 14, 2015 Not sure if an E and J use the same ones. Mine is a slide with a pin on each end on opposite sides. Sound close? Quote
