N601RX Posted August 7, 2010 Report Posted August 7, 2010 We are having a free fly in Elba, Al (14J) on Sept 4th. It would be great if some Mooneys showed up. Gas is currently $3.75! Quote
carusoam Posted August 7, 2010 Report Posted August 7, 2010 Mike, Great gas price ! ! ! I wish I was a little closer to you..... Quote
eaglebkh Posted August 9, 2010 Report Posted August 9, 2010 I might can make it - is there going to be any activites or food (like an EAA breakfast)? Also, on the sectional chart, 14J is not depicted as having fuel. Is this a new feature for the airport? Thanks for the memo!!! Quote

flhelo Posted August 9, 2010 Report Posted August 9, 2010 Nice area there. Was stationed at Ft Rucker for 7 years. It would be nice to see the area again. Quote

Jeff_S Posted September 2, 2010 Report Posted September 2, 2010 Hey Mike, is this event still happening this weekend? Looking for a reason to go fly someplace, as always! Quote
Amelia Posted September 2, 2010 Report Posted September 2, 2010 Just stopped in Elba on the way southeast last weekend- nice airport, good service, great avgas price. Highly recommended. Too bad we're headed in the other direction this weekend, Earl permitting. Quote
N601RX Posted September 2, 2010 Author Report Posted September 2, 2010 Yes everything is still a go this weekend. There will be a free pancake breakfast and paid barbecue lunch. I dropped some stuff this afternoon and several people had been working hard to get things ready. Its hard to get a accurate count, but we are expecting 30-40 planes. Mike Quote
