Great video! It's much classier than the other in-cockpit view I saw recently, where the pilot was chewing gum very hard and grunting th rough all of the turns. This pilot concentrated on flying smoothly, kept attention on lead and even smiled a few times.

If only my eyes had been better . . .

I must say I have a whole new appreciation for this and actually saw things I've never seen before in the video, since getting formation flying experience with the Mooney Caravan.  If you ever get a chance to attend a Mooney Caravan clinic, don't pass it up.  Some of the most fun you can have in your airplane.

Nice to watch while I had lunch, I have seen the blue angels the thunderbirds the snow birds and the demonstration team from Italy (cant remember there name) all were so impressive. For me the Thunderbirds were the most enjoyable, my question is of the demonstration teams you have seen which was the most enjoyable to watch. They are all great aviators so this is not about which is best but about most enjoyable. I base my choice on this. The B angels are most precise and the Italians were the most creative and the Thunderbirs were a combination of both. once at a show at Moffet field there was a 3 ship formation of Luftwaffa F4 Phantoms (keep in mind this was the 1980's) well I guess no one told them you cant break the sound barrier over land.

on a high speed low pass the lead ship punched through the barrier shock wave shook the crap out of every one.

On any given day, any of the teams you mention can give a great show....weather often modifies what can be done.

However, all things being equal, it seems like the Blues keep in in closer to the crowds which I like.

One of the best aerial displays I ever saw was years ago....a solo Warthog.  Talk about keeping it in close to the crowd.  Wow!

My father was one of the original C-130 pilots for the Blues in 1970. I was a kid and got to be around the F-4's routinely. Skip Umstead, Lead Solo #5, was my favorite as he always took time for the kids! I still have a book depicting the maneuvers from like 1972 somewhere. My icon photo is the C-130 and dad is in the photo. Needless to say the Blue Angels are my favorite! :)
