Shop with good borescope in Maine/New England

Before we head back across the Atlantic, I thought it might be a good idea to take a look at our exhaust valves and cylinders. Can anybody recommand a shop in preferably Maine (or another New England state)?

Curtis Air in Pittsfield Maine does good work. They work on a wide variety of planes of all vintages including Beechcraft and a couple Mooneys. I know one Beech D-18 comes there from out of state because they like the thoroughness of their work.

There is a freelance A&P / IA in Brunswick, Maine (KBXM). He has a borescope, and the quality of the work he does is second to none. He restored my Mooney and prepared it for its flight to France. Happy to send you contact details if you haven't made other arrangements.

In addition, Brunswick is a great airport, and the town is a lovely place for an overnight stop, with some great restaurants!

Go on eBay and get a USB dental camera. I use Savvy analysis and send pics to Mike Bush and he thinks they're great

Mike Busch has a pretty good vid where he explains how to use engine monitor data to judge the health of the exhaust valves. You need to collect the data at a pretty fast rate. At Savy Aviator website I think it was the vid specifically on engine monitors. Basically if you see a repeating pattern in the EGT data with a period of about a minute you've got a problem.
