I'm going to be in that area at the end of October and would like to meet up. What are the dates, itinerary, etc? Will some info be posted here on MS soon with the details? On a side note how is the weather in the panhandle that time of year? I've always been down May-June.

Guys, I hope to have the registration site up by mid next week. My son is going to be working on it this weekend and we will backtest then. It will be up to you to register, I simply don't have the bandwidth right now to take individual emails saying "put me down".  We have seats at the seminars for 85 people, at which time the registrations will be standby only for cancellations. I know, we all wanted this sooner, and unfortunately, the registration website was lost with Bill Gilliland on July 11th.  I will have some major announcements about the Summit early next week, including the formation of the William Gilliland endowment to help Mooney accident families at their time of need.

The mission statement of "to better the breed" will be promoted with wings credit seminars all day Sat and a good portion of Sunday. We also have an announcement to make about adding a Mooney Summit on the west coast in conjunction with the Mooney Flyer.

Stay tuned.....

Sounds like you're feeling a LOT better, Mike!

Your work to enrich the Mooney community, and your drive to foster Mooney comradery, is not only noteworthy, it's amazing!!! And all quietly, without fanfare or looking for a spotlight. You are an inspiration!!

What I'm amazed at is that Mike jumped right back in. Years back I knew someone that was involved in an accident and walked away from flying.

Mike:

Thanks for your energy, interest and persistence particularly after what you have been through.  Let us all know how we can help.

Thanks all, your kind words are encouraging. While not physically able to fly yet, I am looking forward to the day I can. I plan to leave aviation on my terms, not on the terms of a broken power plant. Meanwhile, the Summit is designed to have a high level of knowledge transfer amongst all of us while maintaining a social level that can please the non flying spouses. I have a goal of getting some altitude under me around the first of October, and have made arrangements with one of the best to really put me thru some paces. I hope the doc's agree....
