mikesideup Posted April 17, 2014 Report Posted April 17, 2014 Hello all, planning a trip to NYC. Any suggestion /advice on the the best airport to fly into and what FBOs and costs. I plan on going IFR because I haven't been to the east coast since pre 9/11. Thanks Mike Quote
MooneyBob Posted April 17, 2014 Report Posted April 17, 2014 Check this post out. People are discussing best options for NYC. http://mooneyspace.com/topic/11522-where-is-cheap-tie-down-parking-near-manahattan/ Quote
bnicolette Posted April 22, 2014 Report Posted April 22, 2014 Hi Mike, We just did a trip to NYC on Friday & Saturday. We land at TEB and park at Meridian FBO. They are a first class operation and always take great care of us. I'm not sure what the fees are for a Mooney these days but with a Baron we purchased 30 gallons (6.73/) and there were no other fees other than the airport fee which is minimal. Quote

Last summer was there too....same deal min gallon purchase at slightly higher fuel price than the "norm" very friendly. Made the mistake on a different trip of going into LGA. Cost me $120ish in fees alone! Quote

mikesideup Posted April 22, 2014 Author Report Posted April 22, 2014 Thanks for the input. I think I will give TEB a try. Quote
