  1. Remember...if you don't wreck the plane it was a great landing:)
  2. Just purchased and installed a SkyRadar-DX Dual Band ADSB Receiver with built-in AHRS in my mooney. I use wingx pro on my iPad. I bought one of the first ADSB's and was happy with the skyradar product. The DX with the built in AHRS far exceeded my expectations. It was easy to install and works great with the synthetic vision option on wing x. I am thrilled!!! Nice to have a backup attitude indicator. It transmits a wifi signal so you can keep the attitude indicator on your iPhone as well as using the multiple views on the iPad at the same time. Great stuff.
  3. I have noticed that when it is very cold, 10 degrees Fahrenheit , they extend very slowly. Any ideas?

  9. Can't we all just get along. Let the market decide the fate of the plane. As everyone knows Get a pre purchase inspection from a reputable mechanic before you spend a dime on a bird. I wouldn't believe anyone's story as a pilot is to close to the plane he is selling. Lets stop the 2 year old antics and behave like the honorable mooney pilots that we all are!
  10. Bought mine with about 60 hours tt in a tomahawk. I thought easy transition but I had a great instructor. I hate landing on grass, not because it is difficult, but because I spend 2 hours trying to get the zillion bugs off the wings and windshield:(
  11. I just read the book by the wright brothers "the early history of the airplane" free PDF and audio book. It was very interesting. I think you would enjoy it
  12. Looking for an annunciator for kln 89B 14 volt. Thanks Kevin 920 621 3473
  13. From the album: N7120V

My wife's grandfather passed last week. He was 93. He soloed in this airplane in the 40's we think. If anyone can help us identify the make and model of this plane it would be greatly appreciated. Notice the parachute!
  14. Just so we are on the same page I am talking about a forward slip. Thanks
  15. Can you slip a mooney with the flaps extended on final. Full flaps...partial flaps? I can not find the info in my POH. Thanks Kevin
  16. I put a neutral filter on my go pro with good results...except when flying directly into the sun.
  17. I found this article about oil consumption to be very informative http://www.oshkosh365.org/saarchive/eaa_articles/2011_2_26.pdf Also by mike Busch
  18. How much...if you don't mind and where did you go
  19. Troy, I have 200 total 120 in my mooney m20e. Rod machado has a good article about anxiety. http://www.rodmachado.com/_become_private_pilot/excuses.php We have all been there. Fly as often as you can. Bring a CFI with you if you haven't flown in a while. The more you fly the more comfortable you will be in your plane. A little fear is not a bad thing as it keeps you from doing stupid things. Repetition is also good to keep you in a behavior pattern. Take little trips and stay near your home field to build up confidence. Then keep reminding yourself of your safe and successful previous flights. The longest trip I have taken so far was 850 miles. When I landed I felt like a rock star. I remind myself of all the great flights I have had to get rid of any jitters. Also read all the time. Be a student of your airplane and aviation. Knowledge is power.
  20. I like it. I think by just looking at the attention to detail and the amount of money that the owner put into it is a good indication of the condition of the plane. As far as the amount, I never like to squeeze the last nickel out of a deal. If you like it and it checks out...buy it!
  21. Congrats! I couldn't stop smiling when my mooney landed in Green Bay from Seattle.
