  1. There is one on eBay Brittain Autopilot Accu Trak II B11, BI 805 Servo Controller. Yellow tag BI805
  2. The stc is for a m20e. Cecilia created the stc. There is a long list of planes this will go in. Cecilia has been very helpful to me and I am sure she will continue. Oddly enough all of the offers have been from germany and other European countries. I anticipate it will sell soon. Is 2900 too much for one that was just inspected at the factory? The market will determine that. A starter solenoid on my Cessna twin rings up at 1600. You spend your money on what’s important to you. If you don’t need something don’t buy it.

  6. Wanted!!! BI805 control valve for brittain system.... Part # 20464-200 Thanks Kevin 920 621 3473
  7. Round gauges and a kln89b that I bought for 800. Work great. Unless you need com, why would you look at the tiny screen on a 430 when you have an iPad in front of you for the situation awareness. Very happy with my set up. Best thing I installed was a voice annunciator that says "check landing gear" my opinion only....
  8. Wish I had an auto pilot. Always am hand flying
  9. It took 3 years and about 70 hours under the hood. On Friday March 10, I passed my instrument check ride! Big day for me. Learned how to fly at 51 and now 56. Glad to have done it in my mooney. Got kicked around a lot on Friday with the wind up here in the Midwest.
  10. Resolved. $600 and new owner supply. Thanks for all the help and comments. Went to Britain, they were great.
  11. Plane is 74 m20e i will check the ampmeter it says on my stormscope that we are charging 13.4 volts. i will mention the generator. I have notice that at about the same time the prop would turn a few turns the stop, then I would push the switch in again and it would start. Like it wasn't getting all the battery. The battery is 1 year old. The heading indicator was damage during the annual and was removed and the bug was fixed. The shop paid for that. I am wondering if they could have loosen a connection while they were extracting the HI. , which is next to it. thanks for all the insight! kevin
  12. Recently at 1000 Rpms the no electric red flag keeps popping up. When I am flying it goes away. Is this a signal that failure is eminent? it ties into the wing leveler so if you know who would service this it would be greatly appreciated. Also Atc couldn't pick u my ident today...if there is any corolation there. thanks kevin
  13. Clarence if you still have them I will take em kevin kuehn kuehnprinting@gmail.com I will get you a fed ex number thanks
  14. They are off sweepers every 4th row are steel
  15. FYI...We have had many flat tires at KGRB as a result of these wire bristles that they are using on the ramps taxiways and runways. It will put a pin hole in your tire and you will slowly loose air. A Cessna and a Seneca last week. Airport director not resolving problem. (Not interested) Any suggestions would be greatly appreciate. The FOD is so prevalent birds make nests out of it. I punctured a tire in July from last year's bristles.Thank god it happened as I was taxiing back to hanger and not taking off. The airport doesn't believe the FOD is the problem since it is not present in the tire after the flat. How else do you get a flat tire on a relatively new tire. In the AIR!!!!! Who do you think I should contact for help? Thank you
  16. Took off this afternoon and saw we did not have 2700 Rpms. More like 2500. Was airborne before I fully comprehended the RPM loss. Climb out slow but steady. Pulled back the prop a bit and pushed it forward and got a blast of full Rpms from the prop. Reduce power setting and the prop control seamed to not go all the way forward. Ran it to maintenance and they are perplexed as to why the prop control is stopping 3/16" from the panel. It is bottoming out on the control that supplies the oil to the prop. Tried to adjust, ran up to 26 and dropped it back to 24. They will look at it on Tues . I am complexed, I thought something got jammed in the linkage that prevented me from going all the way forward with the prop. any ideas on this would be greatly appreciated. We had 30 " MP both times. thanks Kevin Kuehn 920 621 3473
  17. http://youtu.be/3Lppl_KuPRQ I have always had a tough time reaching the fuel selector indicator in my m20e. I made this from a plumber's sink tightening plastic tool. I notched the end to easily fit over the indicator and put a 1/4 3" bolt thru the other end with 2 nuts locked together.... EASY and cheap.
  18. Kgrb is a 45 min drive. Class C and everyone from the tower to the people at Executive air are very friendly. There is also daily bus transportation to osh any questions about the area, let me know. I have lived here for 56 years. Hopefully the snow will be melted by the time you all arrive:) Kevin 920 621 3473
  19. I have noticed yoke vibration on the pilots side of my m20e 1974. I am training for an instrument rating and flying one handed has really amplified the problem. It is tricky reading the plates with the vibration. Co-pilots side is fine. There appears to be a block that supports the shaft. Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated. The glare screen that hangs over the instrument panel also vibrates a lot. Prop balancing? The plane runs great with all cylinders monitored and great compression. Thanks Kevin
