  1. Thanks for the update.
  2. Bob, It looks like your oxygen is plugged into the ceiling. Is that an aftermarket built in system? If so, what manufacturer? We have a portable system, but have to attach it to the back of the passenger seat before we take off if we think we may need it...not convenient!
  3. We'll be there, but probably not until 10:00.
  4. I also have the the SwitchBox and it works great. We always have a nice warm engine in the winter.
  5. Would you need wifi in your hangar to use one of those smart outlets? If not, then they look like great products.
  6. We're flying into Zephyrhills Thursday afternoon and renting a car. We'll be at Sun N' Fun Thursday afternoon and all day Friday. We depart Saturday morning.
  7. That would be great!
  8. This looks like a great upgrade for Aspen users.... http://www.aopa.org/News-and-Video/All-News/2015/April/08/Aspen-AOA
  9. Chris, I'm at the hangar right now. I turned on the master, pulled the breaker and pushed it back in...the gauges came to life! Thanks
  10. Thanks, I'll check it out.
  11. Last Friday all of our engine gauges just stopped working. I'm thinking it's probably a broken wire. Does anyone have any other ideas or suggestions. We fly a '81 J. Thanks, Tim
  12. Looks great! How did you do it?
  13. Does the old cover just pop off?
  14. Chris, You may be able to put a light in your empty ashtray... http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/pspages/ashlight_standard.php
  15. I checked ForeFlight and there is no mention of "no georeferencing". Looks like a FlyQ issue.
  16. Just think about a coupled approach. The autopilot stays on glideslope with pitch adjustments and the pilot controls airspeed with throttle. It's the same when you hand fly an approach.
  17. I think ours was attached with zip ties with no slack so it was rigid.
  18. We had a '78J with the plug attached to the oil dipstick and our present '80J has the plug coming out of the left cowl flap. The oil dipstick was easier to get to and the one I would recommend. Both of these airplane already had the heater installed. We also use the SwitchBox to send a text to turn it on and off. Sorry, no pictures.
  19. Thanks for the comments. When we bought it, it had all that stuff installed. We're still getting use to the Aspens. There's a lot if info in a small space.
  20. I think this should work...
  21. No, we just got this one a couple of months ago. I'll try to upload the video to You Tube. I'm using my iPad to post.
  22. Sorry, for some reason, I can't seem to upload the video. Some help please. Thanks, Tim
  23. Our new, 1980 J, taking off from Carlisle, PA on 12/31/14.
