  1. On the side I'm an A&P w/ an IA.  I bought my Rocket knowing that I would slowly work out the lack of love and care it missed out on over it's life (pencil whipped log books claiming inspections that clearly weren't taking place).  I've overhauled the mags, put new ignition harnesses on it, properly grounded the mags,  hooked up the shower of sparks system for easy staring, overhauled the fuel pump and manifold system, rebuilt the emergency gear system, etc...  There's more that I'll be tackling over the next year or two.  One of those things is to deal with the old McCauley prop.  I noticed your post on what I believe is a MTV-14 prop installed on your Rocket.

A couple of questions:  What STC did you use to install it under?  Did they give you a credit for turning in your McCauley prop when you purchased?  What price range should I expect to pay if I upgrade?

Thanks for your time and help.

    Steve

      hi Steve,

      yay for you!

Yes I love my MTV-4 blade.  You definitely want the nickel covering up charge.

Im sorry I forget what I paid but I want to say something like 18k?

No credit for McCauley - I sold that separately.

I worked directly with MT USA and they did all the paper work to get the field approval for which I paid $1500 for that service.  I am sure they could do it again.

      Got a picture?

      Erik
