    Scott, Here's the best resource I have for the Bendix/RSA system. I use it with all my students. http://www.precisionairmotive.com/Publications/15-812_b.pdf I had a time this summer where my spread got so out of whack right after an injector swap. We pulled the offending injector and found nothing. Re-seated the injector and put some DC-4 compound around the threads on one of the fuel lines. Problem solved. Still No idea how it happened. Spread got right back in line.

    Excellent experience with Tempest Fine Wire spark plugs when I changed them last year. Lower TIT and much better ignition up high. Absolutely no misfiring at high altitude.

    This is normal in appearance. You can still have your control and gear rigging checked. But Mooney ailerons will trail higher than the flaps.

    I do like seeing them raced as stock. I think Sparky Air Racing (Jelly Belly P-51) races a stock Mustang.

    I just flew an M20J that was recently repaired with an elevator from a salvage yard. Didn't take long to find an elevator for it at all.

    As I understand it, the Feds have given grants to organizations such as the one making Swiftfuel. We are making ethanol tainted gas for no good reason. Both E10 and E85. Don't put it past the Feds to subsidize and wait for another product that might not be a good idea.

    Dave, If you arrive "way too high," consider the steep spiral which is a commercial pilot maneuver. Find out how much altitude you lose in a 180 degree turn and a 360 degree turn...540, 720, etc.
