  1. N231DH was formerly owned by Tony Birnseth, a Pacific Northwest Monica. Paint job was done in Arizona.
  2. That happened to me at Chandler a few years ago. Filled up one day & took a cousin for a sight seeing flight. Later that day I tried to fill up again at CHD & was declined. If I remember I now call VISA and tell them I'm going to be traveling before I leave
  3. I've stopped at Yerington several times for fuel. One time wind was 25 G35 45 degrees crosswind
  4. Flew frm W. Washington to Pasco in E. Washington for grandaughter's softball tourney. Returned home this morning to pick up two other grandkids and take them to N. Central WA (Omak) to meet up with the other grandpa. Saw this brand new AirTractor on floats. It has an intake nozzle to pick up water as it flies. Omak is the site of big wild fires in past couple of years. Looks like it would be a hoot to fly. Nice 5 blade prop. Flew home VFR between clouds & Cascades
  5. I elected to stay with what's already paid for
  6. I installed GTN 750 & GTX 330 ES in December 2015, and use Stratus for ADS-B in. Two months later the Gatmin 345 was announced. I asked for a quote to swap transponders to get weather on the 750. $4500 to swap. It is not a slide in replacement
  7. I have had this unit for 8-10 years and test it occasionally (push red button and it beeps after test cycle). After reading this thread I decided to run my own test today. I stuck the unit in the exhaust pipe of my Tundra, perfect fit, and ran it for about 2 minutes. Nary a peep from the unit. I think it's time to replace it with a digital sensor.
  8. '96-98 J's have new Ovation style interior, with overhead light switches. Only 19-20 made each year.
  9. I suppose that zero replies gives me an answer to how much support their is to having a PPP on the Pacific Northwest.
  10. Just returned from Denver PPP. I've attended 8 in past 11 years at Tucson, Palm Springs, Santa Maria, Bullhead City and Denver. MAPASF usually needs about 20 pilots to run a session. How many of you would attend a PPP if held in the Pacific Northwest (WA, OR, ID). If enough people would commit perhaps we could get one scheduled up here in the far northwest.
  11. Sunday's flight home from Denver PPP. Rocky Mts. Leaving Denver. Medicine Bow Peak in WY. Snake River at ID OR border. Crossing SEATAC at 6k
  12. Flew from W. Washington to Denver today. I left a day early because of weather system that followed me out. Dodged some rain showers in WY. I'm here for PPP.
  13. I've flown from western Washington to Oshkosh twice and to S. Dakota & Denver crossing the Rockies on V120. 13000 is the highest MEA
  14. My son picked me up in his F150 saving me a rental car. Ball field about 15 min. Drive from KYKM.
  15. Early AM flight from western Washington across Cascade mtns to Yakima to watch granddaughter's softball tourney (U12). She went 6 for 7 in three games. Bellevue & Seattle and Mt. Rainier
  16. I have the same unit that came with the plane. I've only used it a couple of times in 11 years. I vaguely recall being told at a PPP (Bruce Jaeger?) that it could cause damage. I don't remember why.
  17. Does the GTX 345 display traffic & weather on the GTN 750?
  18. A month after I installed GTN 750 & GTX 330ES Garmin announced the GTX 345. Does it display ADS-B traffick & weather on the 750 or just on portables as does Stratus?
  19. I am scheduled to attend from Sequim, WA. Alan
  20. I have a bucket list/fantasy of circumventing the perimeter of the continental U.S. landing at airports at the farthest corners.
  21. I stand corrected. Just looked at his website. 90 gallons
  22. I thought Jonathan had stock tanks
  23. My longest cross country was 11 years ago, when we bought N1084L and flew her home. 3 days & 24 hours flight time. 2,955 km. What is your longest or otherwise most memorable flight in your Mooney?
