  1. Prop shop says it will scrap one blade and sell the other one for me. They'll keep hub for tear down costs.
  2. Rebuilt IO360 is on its way. Prop shop called & said one blade of the McCauley prop is not serviceable. I ordered a new Hartzell scimitar 2 blade. About $7,500 more than I was planning on.
  3. My serial no. Is 24-3394
  4. Yes. A3B6 with two Slick mags. Factory installed governor has never been off the engine.
  5. The the governor is not off the engine yet. I'll check the model no. When it comes off & see if the factory put the wrong page in the POH. There isn't even a box to check for the T22
  6. MEquipment list in POH.
  7. That's how it came from the factory. The type certificate lists four different governors. I don't see that it limits any of them to either engine.
  8. WA charges a "use tax" equal to the sales tax. You get credit for sales tax paid if purchased out of state.
  9. My original factory engine is the two mag A3B6. Equipment list says I have C290D5/ T17 governor
  10. Re-built IO360A3B6 is on its way from Lycoming. Prop has been dropped off for overhaul. What is best option for governor? Buy overhauled unit or send mine in for overhaul?
  11. Lots of copies, not list of copies.
  12. There should be list of copies around. There have been no changes in the manual since 2004. I think I've been to 7 PPPs and recycled several copies earlier this year. It has a notice prohibiting copying or reproducing without written consent of MAPASF
  13. It is over 200 pages
  14. I have an extra one. Send me your mailing address & I'll put it in the mail Monday. Alan Millet. amillet69@gmail.com
  15. I have the Tanis 100 system on my J model installed 19 years ago when the aircraft was based in Minnesota. Rebuilt Lycoming will be shipped next month. Is it worth removing the Tanis system from old engine and putting it on new engine? I am based in Western Washington and seldom use the pre-heat. Install new a Tanis 400 rocker cover heaters instead of cylinder elements of old 100 system?
  16. No, same engine model. New in 1996
  17. I ordered a re-built IO360A3B6 from them last week. Ship date 10/6. Alan Millet
  18. Blackstone report showed elevated iron. With 1800 hours and just short of 20 yrs. SNEW I decided to go ahead with factory re-built. Since it is under 20 years I get it for overhaul price. Ordered today from Air Power. 6-8 weeks for delivery. Yes I fly almost weekly and have been using Camguard since it came out and Av-Blend before that. I had hoped to get a few more years out of it.
  19. If engine is less than 20 years since first put in service rebuilt engine is same price as overhaul from Lycoming. About $4500 savings
  20. Finally scheduled my P-51 flight that Brenda paid for as a C'Mas/birthday gift last year.
  21. I have owned N1084L, a 1997 J for 10+ years. TTAE 1806. Oil consumption has gradually increased from 9 hrs/qt to 4. Regular oil analysis has never shown high metal levels. I changed oil after returning from flying in Caravan to KOSH, and found small metal flakes in filter for first time. With 20 year Lycoming limit for Rebuilt for Overhaul Price Proram coming up (June 2016) looks like it's time to go ahead & order rebuilt IO360A3B6. I haven't received latest oil report yet. 22. MY speed brakes would not retract the last 1/4". POH sopplement calls for inspection/overhaul every 10 years. Just had mine done with this year's annual. About $1200.
  23. I have a client who owns a medical oxygen business and is also a pilot. I get my portable tanks filled for free. On way to KOSH refilled at FBO at KPIR for $60.
  24. I lost my key fob for my wife's Toyota Highlander last month. She had it replaced today. $450 including re-programming her fob.
  25. I'm a 20 minute flight from KBFI but just dropped my J model at KTTD for an annual. Got to ride back in my orthopedic surgeons C182.
