    Heat

Yes, thanks. I think I’ve got something more significant going on. Will have it looked at.

Seals are good. One cold air doesn’t seal completely, but it’s more of a nuisance that a lot of airflow.

    Heat

Thanks. Will have to have them take a look at it.

    Heat

Thanks. I think the system is significantly different on the Acclaims, although I stand to be corrected.

    Heat

Well, that wouldn’t be a bad deal. But I understand the heat comes from bleed air off the turbo, so LOP shouldn’t affect that, although I could see where MP would. Assumed FLs would have impact, but it was darn chilly at 3K with an OAT of -1 C. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Heat

The amount of heat available in the cabin is minimal. Do I have a problem or is this typical? Same with defrost.
  7. It’s a bit of a haul, but not bad in a Mooney… I have used Byerly in Peoria and have been very happy.
  8. I posted this link on the Mooney Pilots Facebook after I ran across it on YouTube. I hadn’t seen it before. Guess a lot of people hadn’t either, so thought I’d drop it here as well. Good video.
  9. Probably an ATC speed reduction just killing time doing circles waiting for a Cirrus to land… Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Based on what I’ve read, would seem the two issues are water vapor in the oil that doesn’t boil off, encouraging corrosion and lead deposits in the cylinders because the chts aren’t high enough to burn them off.
  11. Probably a Cirrus. Safety conscious pilot likely pulled the chute but it didn’t prevent the accident…though wife was relieved….
  12. Another thread somewhere showed the FlightAware track. Was pretty much at stall speed all the way through the pattern.
  13. Well, I suspect you’re going to get a lot of responses, but in short I think the most important thing is to run low boost long enough to get cold fuel into the lines - as much as 60 seconds. Then a very brief prime and a short prayer. But a quick followup question about brand of oil and spark plugs to use could make this vie for longest response thread on the forum…
  14. This is what comes with the Gallagher package. https://www.weboost.com/products/311703 I think the problem with a longer cable is signal loss. Not sure if there is an inline signal booster available that would work.
  15. Google Switcheon. It’s great. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Probably still more comfortable than coach next to the bathroom. And no mask requirement. He may be on to something

  18. I use the ZOLEO sat communicator. Have found it easy to use, and the inflight messaging ability has been useful.
  19. Well, there’s a myth among Cirrus owners that Mooneys really aren’t that much faster….
  20. Nope. Didn’t realize what you had. But my point is that overgross flight is contemplated, and the specific procedures to follow. Agree with prior post the main issue is gear stresses, esp on landing. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  22. I’m thinking a trunkload of windshield deicer from the local auto parts store might do the trick. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
