  1. Or he could be busy trying to save the company, which is a higher priority than satisfying our curiosity. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  2. Thanks, Mike. I’ve never used full up trim and don’t plan to do so. And have done go arounds, so I am familiar with the pressures. I almost alway land with T/O flaps only. Was just curious about others.
  3. Depending on the services available where I am flying, I sometimes take a Dewalt cordless inflator, in addition to pliers, screwdriver, etc.
  4. Have read several times the suggestion that full nose up trim in the flare is a technique some use. Having just read the accident report on a crash due to full nose up trim on takeoff, it would seem that this technique could be a recipe for disaster in a go around situation. Am I off base here?
  5. Just out of curiosity, how many of you have run a tank dry before switching? Inadvertently or by design? I’ve never been willing to do so.
  6. Yours is a perfect case for a Mooney. You will be glad you did.
  7. I can’t speak to the Simple Green issue, but I have been using Plane Perfect Buddha Belly with excellent results. Am using Wash Wash All afterwards.
  8. Can’t speak to Apple. I have tried the Bose corded above. They work. The Bose Bluetooth ones are also great generally, but they stick out more, which might be a problem in a helmet.

  10. I find mine generally about 8 kts below book. But it has both steps, tie down eyelets, A/C, and usually pretty full 100 ga tank. Still blazing fast. And fuel flows are a little lower than book with GAMIs. Oh, and the door can be a little challenging. The A/C is pretty weak. Overall, it is simply a fantastic airplane.
  11. It does, but it is lower than IL and IN does not tax avgas or repairs. Income, corporate and property tax rates are significantly lower too. The consultant reference I posted deals with he sales tax issue.
  12. Well, the easiest solution would be to move to Indiana….. But, absent that I suggest you have a conversation with www.aviationtaxconsultants.com
  13. Just had some work done by Byerly today. Great experience.
