  1. Referring to the backup batteries for the dual mag EIS. (IBBS-12v-3ah-CRT) -KC
  2. Does anyone by chance know the shelf life of the batteries?
  3. Bringing it back from the dead... Anyone else have experience with this STC? @adverseyaw, still happy sad indifferent about having done the mod? I'm interested but I'm sending my engine in for an overhaul and contemplating about doing this mod or the electronic ignition for my Dual mag engine. -KC
  4. Simple question, has anyone had experience or heard of A&E Aircraft Engines in Plano Texas? Either the search function has failed again or no one talks about them here. -KC
  5. Does anyone happen to know which antennas these are that I need to replace??
  6. @Alan Fox I'm primarily looking for the 3bladed top prop still. I take it the one that was originally posted is sold?
  7. All, Looking for possible replacements for my 1981 J's bottom panels after a gear-up landing. I know we could re-fabricate them but looking to see if it may be faster to just buy 'new' ones and replace them. Anyone know if any other Mooney bottom fuselage panels will fit/ match my model? Appreciate the insight. -KC
  8. @Alan Fox I'm gonna bet 0 to no chance this is still available? I heard you're the prop guy. I just had mine geared up and was tooth picked. Looking for a replacement or any recommended options. -KC
  9. I unfortunately don't have any experience in this department. But, what are the chances you're changing it out due to a pitch pump/ porpoise issue? -KC
  10. @PeytonM is it still sitting around collecting dust? Was this your first EA100 box? I've heard of people having issues with them and wary about going this route.
  11. @N201MKTurbo Do you think that same apparatus could be used to purge or prime TKS lines? Or too much px?
  12. Although I don't believe this helps out, I've been looking for a turbo something or other to trade to. I have a TKS equipped M20J with a decent panel upgrade and all the body mods imaginable. Located at Support and come over to 1N1 a decent bit. Just a warning getting access to KABQ can be challenging up front due to needing a badge. N913JN
  13. Switch to electronic??
  14. @toto Any problems with your mag during the inspection? How many $$$'S?
  15. @philiplane Why would you avoid the electroair?? My D3000 just took a sh!t and looking at the options.
  16. So, what would you consider at or above normal CO levels in cruise? Obviously aiming for 0. Would you consider landing at 5ppm, 15ppm, 50ppm? Genuine question I haven't been able to figure out yet, does the affect of CO change with altitude? Already breathing in less O2 and slightly more CO = a higher concentration? Or does the CO monitor already take into account the air it's 'sniffing' and the ppm you're seeing is compared to the normal air mixture at say sea level? -KC
  17. @carusoam figured out to use a 3rd party server. https://photos.app.goo.gl/6wTkTT4XJUZ9vRr5A
  18. Basically no matter the power setting, vacuum gauge is unreliable and the arrow is rapid/ erratic sometimes spinning all the way around the sight glass. Seems to kind of stay within 4-6 at higher power but will start to spin again with No reason. No low vac annunciators and all instruments seen to be working as should be. Initial look under the glareshielf doesn't show signs of leaks. Anyone seen this before?
  19. No worries, just how the cookie crumbles sometimes.
  20. @glenn reynolds I see an attachment but it's in txt format. What unit is it? Thanks in advance, -KC
  21. Vacuum gauge working and still available?
  22. @David LloydAny chance the vacuum gauge, filter, regulator is still available??
  23. @Shiny moosewhat are the chances it's still available??
  24. Just curios, what was the thought with the Aspen, G5 and AV-30? G5 to get rid of vacuum and AV-20 for its 'other' capabilities besides artificial horizon??
