  1. Apparently Eufaula is out as the restaurant is not open for lunch on Saturday. Merits for Cullman: 1) good, greasy burger and fries; 2) food is cheap; 3) gas is cheap; 4) skydiving ops for entertainment; 4) more central location for many. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. It is difficult to tell from the photos. Is there a provision for cowl flaps? If so, will they connect to the existing linkages on the J? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Would be fun, but Leesburg is a bit far for a lunch run. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Exactly. I believe the list of ready adopters with check in hand is long, but no information at all regarding when they will be available. As of now, these tips are made of unobtainium. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I am good for January 12. Cullman, Eufaula, or Gulf Shores work for me. Park at Gulf Air and Lulu’s is only a 5 minute walk. Let’s get a solid crew together. It will be fun! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. How about catfish in Monroeville? Shrimp at Lulu’s at JKA? Burgers at The Hangar at KEKY? Propwash Cafe in Cullman? Pick one and we can do a Bama Mooney roundup. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. We have 9 as of today, but will be losing a 231 as soon as the insurance company picks it up. (Hail damage deemed a total loss) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I’ll help. Lol. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. The pencil is great for taking down clearances and route amendments. I keep mine in the blue holder mounted above the attitude indicator in the above picture. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. As promised: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I'll take a couple of pictures when I go out to the airport tomorrow night.
  12. After fighting with lag on my mini 3 for some time, I upgraded to a new 9.7" ipad on the yoke. It fits perfectly and the added screen size is nice. I forget who posted the idea, but I used the Steelie magnet mount from Amazon to attach it to the yoke. The ipad moves a little when banking and checking controls, but not enough to cause any issues. It is stable in cruise.
  13. If you are looking to upgrade on the cheap, I have a STEC ST-901 sitting on the shelf that will fit the bill. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  15. These are friends of mine looking for a great Mooney. They found one, but DMax found spar corrosion during the PPI. That was a no go. They are cash buyers looking for the right plane. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  17. I just had the same issue. Replaced the M111 probe from JPI with the Tempest one from Spruce. The Tempest probe is cheaper and appears much more robust. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. We are a maybe. SERFI is the weekend before the AOPA Fly in, so I will have to gage the temperature of the family as we get closer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I got the same email and was disappointed as I use Fltpln as a backup to ForeFlight. Great day for the owner, but bad for the rest of us. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. No, not a MAPA member. My wife tossed the envelope, but I assume it was addressed to my business (which owns the plane). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I tried. Your eyes are better than mine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. The price falls well below the mark. It certainly didn’t peak my interest. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I received the attached letter in the mail today. Frankly, I am not sure what to think about the letter. Several words (e.g., ambitious, eager, optimistic, desperate...) immediately came to mind, but, more than anything else, I thought it was just plain weird. If this was you, not attempting to hurt feelings or anything, but maybe you should stick to the constants like Controller, Barnstormers, or the new one started by our Jessie (can't remember the name though). Did anyone else receive this letter? For privacy purposes, I have redacted personal information.
  24. Clarence, thank you for always having such valuable contributions to the forum. I have been looking for ways to add back seat shoulder belts for some time now because my two daughters are often back seat passengers and I would like something more than just lap belts to protect them. My thought is to install reel inertial belts in the front and move the existing front shoulder belts to the back. Were you able to reuse the existing hardware at point 111, or did you have to use longer bolts? Also, was any other hardware required? If you have pictures of the finished job, I would love to see them.
  25. I have reattached the seal with rubber cement a few times. The problem is that the seal sticks to the door jam after being tied down on a hot ramp for a few days. What are y’all using to combat sticking? Talc powder, Vaseline, Teflon? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
