@M20Docyou need the Whelen Aerospace Technologies (WAT) Orion 650E. If you have a 14V electrical system you need the OR6501GE and the OR6501RE. If you have a 28V electrical system you need the OR6502GE and the OR6502RE. If you want to do your tail light (assuming it has not been done already) you need the Orion 500, which is a white LED strobe light with a white LED nav light embedded in it. They are OR5001V and OR5002V respectively for 14V and 28V. I have the Orion 650Es for $479.99 a side and the Orion 500 for $399.99. That is the best price out there. I am a WAT authorized dealer and I have these in stock. Shoot me a PM, email (gallagheraviationllc@gmail.com), give me a call (1-833-425-5288), or check out my website (www.gallagheraviationllc.com)

I have plenty of the Shaw 416/516 and the Shaw 431/531 fuel cap kits. I am a Whelen Aerospace Technologies (WAT and formerly Whelen) authorized dealer. For your tail light, I have the Orion 500, which is a white LED navigation light and white LED strobe light. For your wingtips I have the Orion 650E, which has a red or green LED position light and white LED strobe light. As part of the installation you remove the strobe power supply but you can repurpose your existing wiring. Install time is probably a couple hours by an A&P. The lights are FAA TSO approved as an approved night position light and an anti-collision light system. The pathway to installation is a logbook entry as a minor alteration by your A&P. For your landing and taxi lights, assuming they are in your wings, they are the PAR-36 size (4.5 inches in diameter). You could do two Parmetheus Pro LED landing lights and a Parmetheus Plus taxi light. The Pro is one of the best LED landing lights out on the market and below are a photo comparing it to a lower end Aerolite PAR-36. The Pro projects the light like a spot light while the Plus taxi version is more of a flood like to more widely illuminate the area around he aircraft for taxi. Some folks decide to go with four Pros too. 1-833-425-5288 <-- Call me here gallagheraviationllc.com <-- Email me here https://www.gallagheraviationllc.com/whelen-aircraft-lighting.html <-- My website PAR-36 Parmetheus Pro PAR-36 Parmetheus Plus

FS: NEW WAT Parmetheus Pro LED Landing Lights
OSUAV8TER replied to OSUAV8TER's topic in Avionics / Parts Classifieds
I have a PAR-46 Pro on the way out to a M20J owner! These are fantastic landing lights. Here is a test where I compared a PAR-36 Parmetheus Pro to an Aerolite LED light. Do you notice the difference? These have the same exact camera settings meaning ISO, shutter speed, aperture, and camera position. I did some post picture touch up in photoshop to balance the colors better because the Pro and the Aerolite have different colors, which threw off my white balance a little bit. You have a PAR-46 size landing light on the nose of your Statesman and from my research, you can't upgrade to a newer WAT HID BoomBeam landing light. Whelen and Lopresti merged to create Whelen Aerospace Technologies (WAT)in 2019. So what we can do is probably replace broken components that you have now or get you into an LED landing light. The PAR-46 Parmetheus Pro has a fantastic lens that rivals the older Lopresti HID landing lights. All things considered and generally speaking, HID will be a brighter light than LED although LED is generally a more reliable technology. If you want to replace our BoomBeam and go to LED, I recommend the Parmetheus Pro or we can try to fix your HID landing light. I also have the less bright Parmetheus Plus in that size landing light. Please email me your model of Lopresti BoomBeam (Check your logbooks) and we'll work to troubleshoot if you want to fix it. gallagheraviationllc@gmail.com <-- Email me here https://www.gallagheraviationllc.com/whelen-aircraft-lighting.html <-- Check out my website here 1-833-425-5288 <-- Call me here James Gallagher

WAT is now taking a pathway, it seems, where their lights are FAA PMA and TSO approved. They are no longer going after STCs because they are lengthy for application and approval and it stymies innovation. The correct pathway forward is a minor alteration with a logbook entry and a 337 is not necessary. A 337 is done with an STC or a major modification. James

LED Replacement for Whelen Model #70303 Light
OSUAV8TER replied to StevenL757's topic in Avionics / Parts Classifieds
Hey guys I have nothing new to report right now. -
Both wing strobes suddenly no longer work
OSUAV8TER replied to FlyBoyM20J's topic in Modern Mooney Discussion
@FlyBoyM20J these are not STC approved for the M20J but the pathway to installation is a minor alteration with a logbook entry. The lights are FAA TSO approved as an anti-collision and night position light system. Most lighting companies are moving way from STCs, getting them TSO approved, and are having customers install them as a minor alteration. Your A&P has to sign off on this. -
Both wing strobes suddenly no longer work
OSUAV8TER replied to FlyBoyM20J's topic in Modern Mooney Discussion
@FlyBoyM20J everything Hoskins gets removed. The old lights and the strobe power supplies are removed for installation. You can repurpose your existing wiring and the Orion 650E power is self contained. Hook up the right wiring and they work. Again, the strobe power supplies have to be removed. If you have a 14V electrical system the model numbers are OR6501RE and OR6501GE and if you have a 28V electrical system the model numbers are OR6502RE and OR6502GE. They are $479.99 a side.
