    Last year I flew the Mooney caravan, I’m sure there were a large number of MS’s there. Other than that I would say I fly regularly with 7-10 of you. Hope to expand those numbers as the flight miles and Mooney family dinners go by. It’s hard to say how many I would only know through MS with social media so big.     I agree with@flyinaggie14. Hard to go wrong with Avidyne if you already have a 530 or 430. Direct replacement and built in Bluetooth. Free IFD100 app for remote iPad control. Another selling point for IFR flying with Avidyne vs G Jeppesen’s nav data packages are about half the cost and you get the full US. No west central eastern section. That way if you happen to fly from Oregon to Oshkosh once a year you don’t have to worry about not having your data go blank crossing the Mississippi:) BUY AVIDYNE... Avidyne fan boy out.     Hey everyone. I have some possible devastating news. Some immediate family members have been evacuated from their home due to a forest fire. If the worst happens and they lose their home it’s not likely I will be making it to Catalina this weekend. Luckily they are safe, but their home is right in the fires path. If you are able to make it please still show up. If I can I will be there. If not then please let me live vicariously through your joy... I hope you and your families are safe!     Well I put together a very crude transfer station tonight just to make sure I had the capability. And filled my portable tank. Now to get some K bottles and work something up like Marauder. I used welding oxygen and I’m sure that is what I’ve always got at FBO’s but is the consensus ABO is a waste of money? The Norco rep was preaching I purchased ABO, but just wanted to make sure it’s really not needed. If anyone comes through KGCD and needs their O2 filled up hit me up...     Question on procedure on filling up a smaller bottle. I’ve had my portable bottle filled up at FBO’s over the years but I think it’s time to get a set up like yours. Do you just hook the small tank up and open up the bottles and let the pressure neutralize? I know my small tank will get warm and holds the pressure longer we leave it hooked up and cools down. Anything I want to make sure I don’t do, other than the grease and fire concern? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
