  1. I have had similar symptoms and resolved by three things all of which are relatively quick and easy 1) as other have said clean the connection on the master switch 2) remove and disassemble the master switch. Take note when you take the switch apart so you can get the parts back together correctly. There are little springs and other pieces in there. You can have carbon buildup on the contacts inside of the switch. If so clean or replace the switch. 3) disconnect your battery, clean the terminals, and connectors and reattach. good luck.
  2. I emailed TruTrak about this 700’ claim and they said it is not true. Also they advised to look for an announcement at snf
  3. I have flown into KISM numerous times, mostly VFR. It was not hard to keep and descend just west of the bravo headed southbound and then turn east after you pass the disney TFR. I depart the same way, headed west easy to stay under the class B which is quickly 4,000 and up. I have used the Kissimmee jet center for every visit and recommend them. It is not a fancy place but affordable, helpful, and easy. Uber and lyft are readily available if you want to keep from renting a car.
  4. is it fair to compare a worn down old prop to a brand new one?
  5. anyone have recommendations for king autopilot repair near Georgia? I have a similar oscillation on my KAP100 / KI256, but roll rather than pitch.
  6. call David Gardner at Rendrag Aviation in Thomaston, GA. He did a great job with my recent upgrade and other avionics work. http://www.rendragaviation.com
  7. According to Don Maxwell these are 130285-003 and about $43 each from mooney.
  8. along with the bulbs, i lost some of the metal things that hold them in. Does anyone know the part # for the part that screws in to hold the bulb? I couldn't pick it out of the parts manual.
  9. If anyone wants some text, the attached file is what worked for me. rocker switch text 2.psd
  10. I am based at CCO where the flight school involved in this accident is based. I agree that this issue of soft spoken foreign student pilots is a real problem. The Falcon students too often speak softly, quickly, and with strong asian accents. I almost had my own incident caused by not being able to understand the student pilots. Fortunately just before I turned to join the downwind an instructor who was apparently DUAL with one of the students broadcast a position report and clarified their position That position report that I understood just before joining the pattern caused to me to turn away from the airport and avoid a close call. Prior to the instructor speaking, I had no idea where the multiple students in the pattern were located even though they were making unintelligible position reports. I was listening to and interacting on the CTAF at least 10-15 miles from the airport. At least half of the radio transmissions from Falcon students are unintelligible to my ear.
  11. About a year ago I replaced my Garmin 430 with a IFD540. I love the 540. it is easy to use, anticipates your needs, and makes it quicker and easier to enter flightplans. I also gained terrain awareness, obstacles, audio alerts, bluetooth, wifi, and new features keep coming with every release free of charge. I have no regrets at all since moving from Garmin to Avidyne. Avidyne also has a great web forum for customers to discuss the products which is also monitored and interacted by Avidyne employees.
  12. Hello, There may be someone else that you are referring to, but I have only created a model for ETA switches and I have no plans to do further design for klixon. This project came out of a selfish need for my mooney. Sorry.
  13. Hey Wayno, Sorry I have been absent from Mooneyspace. I never tried ordering them in the polished plastic because I have not needed to reorder since completing and installing my first batch back when I started this thread. I have changed the settings at shapeways so that you can order them. My concern is that the polishing process may break some of the walls because they are pretty thin in some areas. If you do try it in the polished material, please report your results back to thread for me and others.
  14. I also competed this job recently and used goof off. It is readily available and worked very well
  15. Yes I have used Precision at FFC for my last 2 annuals and I am happy. They seem to be thorough. Prior to using them I used to go to Cole but changed for various reasons.
