  1. Past hour
  2. That is exactly the clip we're discussing... they are very handy and I would love to buy more! Definitely designed for exactly that application versus something someone fashioned themselves. I doubt Mooney would have made them either. Like Rich, I went down many rabbit holes trying to find them via catalog browsing and keyword searching, but was unsuccessful.
  3. What I did was join CAP and get checked out as a CAP pilot. Free flying and free MIL version of FF. And, in my CAP squadron, met some really great people.
  4. Join NAFI, get 33.33% off on ForeFlight subscription… need to be 30 days or more out… mine is going up $10 from $360 - $370 before discount… -Don
  5. Still this way.
  6. I think I have one of these install in my wing. I would love to know the source for this hardware.
  7. Perfect for training missions, ain't it??
  8. They sure look purpose made for this application.
  9. Are you sure it is not a speed clip or speed nut that has been bent at a 90 degree angle?
  10. Yeah the problem with the factory bombsight option in my plane is that it only leaves enough useful load for a bag of flour.
  11. Today
  12. I spent way too much time looking for the clips Mooney uses. It looks like a Tinnerman product. I found the complete catalog and looked through the whole thing and couldn’t find it. The search words are speed clip and speed nut. It is a combination of the two. There are other manufacturers of speed nuts and speed clips. I will try to find their catalogs. There may be a mil spec that covers these and I may be able to find them there. I guess someone could contact Mooney and ask for the part number.
  13. You could just use a one of the screw clips like are on the panel bottom. run the tywrap through it before you put on the lightening hole.
  14. Here is what I found on BeechTalk, So I am just going to leave those pins as is: Connect pins 11, 12, M, and N together. See the attached diagram. Internally the power goes through the on-off switch, out through pins 11 and M, then back into pins 12 and N. It still does make sense, but there was a reason I connected those pins together. Hope this helps..
  15. That is how it should work when taxiing.
  16. Can you explain this comment in detail please? My understanding was that in a right turn on the ground the yoke SHOULD turn left and vice versa. Are you saying this is not correct?
  17. Other than the cost, inconvenience, bottles didn't seem to seal tight after opening if stored in plane, and the smell it leaves on you after you touch anything with it, I could not detect that Marvel Mystery Oil did anything other than make the satin gray exhaust deposit on a properly leaned tail pipe a slightly browner shade of gray. If it actually did something beneficial that could be documented, everyone would be using it and it would be preblended in all fuel. Perhaps that is the "Mystery "in it.....
  18. "Buy a new plane, get a raffle ticket!" Great concept. I need something like this to go with my M20-C Ranger. My Ranger truck has passed on, but I still have an old Ranger boat, too.
  19. Boy these would make a great Mooney Summit Silent auction item if they still exist and if the owner would donate them!
  20. Update: Mooney came through. The factory part is shipping presently! I was expecting another 8 weeks.
  21. That's cool! Any idea if they had any Mooney branding on them somehow? I wonder if any are known to exist today. Sent from my motorola edge plus 2023 using Tapatalk
  22. The second one had no direct matches, but several similar looking clips for car and RV (campers not planes ) interiors.
  23. Google Lens to the rescue. The first picture: The items pictured are a Click 200mm Mounting Cable Tie and a CB4020 Right-Angle Swivel Cable-Tie Mount. These are used for cable management and securing wires. Material: Made from commercial-grade, UV-resistant nylon 66. Features: The cable tie has a marker tab for labeling. The mount allows for securing cables at right angles. Sizes: Cable ties come in various lengths, with 200mm being a common size. Applications: Suitable for organizing cables in offices, homes, workshops, and for outdoor use.
  24. What are you thinking of putting back there?????
  25. They may be in touch to set up advertising.
