MAPA has offices in one of the hangars at KERV.  Joey Cole has offered an adjacent hangar for our premiere.  All the MAPA activities, save the ladies luncheon are at MAPA.

 

I am glad there will be a showing in New Jersey!!!  The movie was shot in HD and has a beautiful and fun score, so have a good sound system too! 

 

The project has been so much fun.  We are so appreciative to all those who have helped with this volunteer effort.  Great things come to those who work together huh?  See you all in April!

Mitch was the music editor.  After being a professional musician for over 30 years, he has a keen ear for all the sound issues, EQ, entry, music choice, etc.  But we all have to remember this was filmed at the factory which had [in process of being replaced] tons of fluorescent humming light fixtures, hissing machines, and such.  It isn't Hollywood, but it has Texas-sized heart.

You all have a chance to enjoy the premiere of Boots on the Ground:the Men and Women who made Mooney on April 10th, 6:30 p.m. as we opening MAPA's Homecoming event.  We will gather at MAPAs hangars at KERV, Kerrville, TX.  

With generous unparalleled access to the factory, the Mooney Ambassadors are pleased to present this lively documentary.  The product is legendary, the achievements are great, now meet the people who made Mooney.


Boots is a documentary about the workers in the Mooney factory in Kerrville, Texas.  Experience the journey of the workers who made Mooney airplanes.   From the early days of Art and Al Mooney?s wood designs to the world?s fastest piston single in production the Acclaim, Type-S, you will meet the men and women of Mooney.


This is a great American story about dedication to the product, ingenuity, passion and perseverance.  We strongly believe it will have a wide aviation audience, not just for the 7000 Mooneys in our fleet.


The Mooney Ambassadors are a service club, with a three-part mission to: support Mooney, promote General Aviation and have someplace wonderful to fly.   This has been an all-volunteer project and we thank you for your support.
